Hi friends! I hope you all have had an awesome weekend! I am really excited because today marks a week of blogging here on The Adorned Life and let me tell you, I am having a blast so far. I really like the idea of a Sunday through Friday routine, so I thought Sundays I could give you a little update on what I’ve been up to.
The start of this blog could not have come at a more perfect time. You know they say that God’s timing is always perfect and “they” are definitely right. Can I get an Amen??!
Anyways, my weekend started with a trip to the vet for my baby Clifford. Ok, ok… he is bigger than a baby, but he’ll always be my baby! (of course as I type this he uses his “baby” paws to jump up on the counter and see if he can find any lunch crumbs…) He’s known to be a little on thicker side when it comes to size and, in addition to that, he needed his shots, nails clipped, and just an all around check up. All went well except, Dr. Jenkins said to Cliffy “50 pounds have got to go,” so unfortunately it is diet and exercise time for Mr. Clifford. Here’s his before picture:
^^I know what you’re thinking.
He’s not tubby he’s perfect the way he is! That’s what I thought too..^^
Other than that I worked on a couple projects… stay tuned to see those. I won’t give myself away entirely, but lets just say I embraced my hispanic side! Also, I have been loving following New York Fashion Week through some of my favorite bloggers, stylists, and designers on Instagram. Everything is swoooon worthy and all I can think is I wish I could afford all that! I guess I’ll just stick to my Paper Doll version for now..
ps. I thought I’d share a little truth that can help the week to start off right. One verse that has been speaking loudly to me lately is Jeremiah 29:11. It is actually my favorite verse. I liked it so much I had it tattooed on my wrist. (ok, enough about me…) I have recently found a renewed meaning in it though. It says: For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. – With that no matter what life brings to your door it will all work together for good! Sometimes we get caught up in the negatives of life and try to fix everything ourselves. What I am learning is that if you let God guide you through times of turmoil, you will come out on the other side better and stronger than ever before. He has worked miracles in my life, and if you let him, he can do just the same for you!
