Sunday already??! Man did this weekend fly by… not too happy about it. I’m sure there’s at least one person out there feeling the pre-Monday blues with me. Anyways, it has been a week since we’ve been back from our little anni getaway. The California coast is beautiful and definitely didn’t disappoint. We were there from Saturday through Tuesday last week and that was a perfectly long celebration trip. It was amazing to see the ocean in one direction and then deer the next. We enjoyed the serenity of the ocean and a cute, quaint little town. It was the perfect place to celebrate our first anni. Speaking of that, we took the cake topper from our wedding – which has been in the freezer for the past year. Well, it wasn’t moldy or anything… but, it did NOT taste good. We both took a little nibble and then tossed it. I was really sad to see it head into the trash, to be honest. Did any of you married ladies keep your cake and pull it out on the first year anni?
Here are a few pictures from the first couple days of our trip!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday… may it go by peacefully and SLOWLY!
Romans has been very inspiring and right on in my life lately, but I wanted to talk a different book today, 1 Peter. I read an awesome scripture that truly spoke to me and I was inspired to share it with you – 1 Peter 5:10.
One important thing I’ve learned lately is that every single person has bumps, or suffering, throughout their walk of life. And while I’ve faced trials, as we all have, God has truly restored, confirmed, and strengthened me through them. Truly making me a better person for them. The view is truly beautiful when you’ve overcome that uphill battle. By applying this to your own life you will learn to love the hurdles you face, see that the grass is never greener on the other side, and truly love the life you have. God did give it to you for a reason and, a lot of the time, the hard things we face are just blessings in disguise.
