A week ago today my family suffered a great loss. My very ill, paternal Grandpa passed on to a better place. Losing a relative is something that you never really know how you’re going to feel until it actually happens. As it was expected, I thought I’d get the news and feel relief that he was no longer suffering. Well, that was NOT the case here. I am definitely a family person, and even though I am relieved he is no longer suffering, I am still deeply saddened and upset by the finality a loss like this brings. The memories I have are the only ones I’ll ever have. With that said, I’ll cherish those memories forever and he’ll always hold a special place in my heart. So, everyone hold your glasses (filled with an old fashioned, no less) high! Here’s to you Grandpa, you were an extraordinary person who lived an extraordinary life. I’ll be seeing you again someday… <3
(he loved his trains!)
I’m just going to leave it at that today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend loves; give your family a big squeeze and lots of love.
