How is it already Monday again? Why does time have to just keep speeding by despite my desperate efforts, begging it to slow down? Rude. That’s all I have to say about that. Secondly, last week was incredibly busy. Between work and life in general, I had another special project I was working on that was time sensitive and time consuming. Long story short, this ol’ blog of mine got put on the back burner. So this week, I am going to finish sharing the stuff I wanted to blog about last week, all vacation related. My go-to tropical beauty products coming at you… So, if you have oily to combination skin, this one’s for you!
[Primer, Tinted Moisturizer, Fresh Lip Treatment – in shade Sugar Coral Tinted, Bite Beauty Lip Tint – in shade Lychee, Concealer, Beauty Blender, Becca Oil Blotting Powder, NARS Bronzer (in shade Laguna), MAC Palette, MAC Cream Blush in shades: Posey]
Typically, I do not go for a full coverage makeup look while on vacation. I prefer quick and simple. Who wants to spend any lengthy amount of time in the bathroom when you could be out on the beach, in the pool or just enjoying some slow-paced family time? Not me that’s who.
I’m still going to prime my face using this primer (mentioned here as well), following that I apply a tinted moisturizer rather than foundation. I’ve had this hourglass tinted moisturizer for a while and recently discovered that it was re-formulated, re-packaged, and everything. I’m not sure the new formula is the same, but here are a few other tinted moisturizers I’ve heard good things about: here, here (on sale!), here. Now I want to try all of these! You can never have enough…
Next, bronzer. Because vacation and who doesn’t want to look their tannest? I recently got this bronzer and have been loving it! If you want to warm up your look a bit for summer, the NARS bronzer might be worth trying.
In the attempt to keep the makeup on my face, rather than having it melt off with heat and humidity. I like to apply a cream blush (in the shade Posey). I have found that this stays on much longer than a regular powder blush.
Finally, I like to finish off with a tinted lip balm. I’ve been drawn to wearing lipstick lately, more on that later, but it just felt like too much for every day out and about in Kauai. I tried out this one and this one for the first time during our vacation in Hawaii and loved the Fresh lip treatment in Coral. It will give as much color as you want depending on how many layers you apply, while still feeling buttery and smooth. I’d highly recommend it and plan to buy every single color! Ok, maybe not every color… but, I need more than just the one!
Those are the products I bring along for a beach trip & don’t typically use on a day-to-day basis; however, I still conceal and fill in my eyebrows as usual. I will definitely blot my face as needed, using this powder. With summer and vacations in full swing, I hope this will help make your packing or shopping easier when it comes to your next tropical getaway! Thanks for reading. xx
ps – Not pictured, I opted for this water proof mascara and loved it.
