Here we go, another year come and gone with a fresh new year just waiting to be ripped into. This past year has been an, we’ll say, interesting one. It’s held the best of times and the worst of times. We’d all be lying, though, if we didn’t admit that through an entire year there were zero hurdles. They’re the most important part of personal growth and evolving into who stands before you today. While the down side of things can be challenging, in my experience, they always come together for good in some way shape or form. Simultaneously, I feel as though every year has its purpose and it’s through both the good and bad times we learn that purpose. For me I think this year’s purpose was definitely change! I totally proclaim that change can be scary, ok really scary; but ultimately, worth it.
I’m not one of those people that are huge on New Year’s Resolutions whatsoever. To me, they’re a good idea in theory and then we slowly fall back into our normal routine shortly after the new year begins. What I want to share with you is some of what I’m taking to the new year. That being, the importance of following my passions and not feeling a need to justify myself to others. As it is important to remember, the judgements of others aren’t important and at the end of the day as they make no difference to our personal happiness. And that, my friends, is a big part of what I’ve learned this year and plan to bring with me to 2014. I can’t wait to see what I have to say this time next year. How will YOU make 2014 count?
Happy New Year everyone, the best is yet to come!
ps. – I wanted to share my top five posts of his year. Enjoy!
