For me, anytime I go to a Mexican restaurant the chips and salsa are the part I look forward to most. Honestly, I would rather have them more than any other appetizer. Tell me I’m not alone here! Thanks to my Hispanic heritage, I inherited an amazing salsa recipe… What better to go with that than homemade chips. With my extensive background in tasting tortilla chips, I have found an easy and tasty way to make them at home.
Ingredients – Corn Tortillas, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Salt, and Tongs for flipping. (Really, that’s it!)
Follow these simple steps:
1. Cut tortillas into small triangles.
2. Pour olive oil into pan and place on high heat.
3. Place tortilla pieces into heated olive oil, salt, and flip when corners turn golden brown.
4. Repeat step three until you have reached the desired quantity.
