Does anyone else ever think about how much we depend on technology these days? Whenever we go on trips, it always crosses my mind how people used to get around by looking at paper maps. Then my mind instantly goes to, oh my gosh… what if we lost our connection and the navigation stopped working. I would be lost-er than lost. Then I pretty much feel like maybe I should learn how to read a map or maybe even just own a map. haha All that to say, technology today is amazing and, speaking for myself, I utilize it to the max. Bringing the point home, I know, finally, there is literally an app for everything on all of our phones, tablets, laptops, etc.
So, I wanted to share something we did recently that was a total game changer. This past month, my husband was working a bunch of over time and in the past we have been pretty good about making sure when one of us has an appointment or something the other one is at home with our little prince. Well, a few weeks ago, I had sort of forgotten I had an appointment and then he got scheduled for a bunch of over time. Cutting to the chase, work comes first so I rescheduled my appointment. What we did was merge our iPhone calendars together, so that from now on we would always know what the other person was scheduled for or if someone’s schedule was not going to be normal. I know, grown-up alert. We’ve been doing it for about a month now and I honestly don’t know how we ever lived without it. Anyways, I just wanted to share a little something that worked for us and how we make technology work to keep us on the same page at all times. This might be old news to some of you, but for us, it has been such a good change. How do you keep your families busy lives in order?
Here is a really helpful tutorial (the fourth entry from the top) on how to merge iPhone calendars!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
ps – I don’t know much about other smart phones on the market right now but, I’m sure there’s a way to do this on those phones too.
