First of all, happy nine month birthday sweet boy! I can hardly believe you’re already nine months old. What’s more, I still find it hard to believe how lucky I am that God blessed us with you. You are something special, Hudson boy.
So, I’m on a plane! Well actually, I’m not on a plane this minute, but I will be on a plane shortly after this goes live! I am so ready for this vacation. One, because we haven’t had a vacation since our honeymoon in 2012. I know. Two, because I need a vacation to relax from the stress of packing up a family of three and most importantly, ensuring I don’t forget anything of Hudson’s. While I like to have my things, I would be much happier if the thing(s) I forgot was something that was mine rather than Hudson’s. Always be prepared, remember? I never realized how easy it was when you are just packing for yourself. In present day, packing for myself, my hubs who is on nights so he couldn’t pack for himself, as well as, for a baby whilst also taking care of said baby… Conclusion: People. Packing is hard work. Can I get an amen?
My mind is racing, thinking of everything that’s about to occur in less than 48 hours. Today, work then hitting the road jacks. Did I remember the bag for our overnight clothes, yes? Check. Try to get a good night sleep and not toss & turn in anticipation of our impending getaway. I’m one of those. You know that feeling when you were in school and the last night of summer you couldn’t sleep because of the first day of school + wearing that brand spankin’ new outfit that you have had picked out for weeks. Yep. Same thing goes the night before vacation. Next thoughts: how will Hudson do on the plane? Will the passengers be friendly or will I have a story post-flight on how rude people are? Did I remember everything? (Probably a thought I will have until the second we start taxiing, well because, at that point, what’s done is done. Right?). Boy, even though Hudson won’t remember, I hope he has a great time. And finally, Lord watch over my sweet family as we take on the roads & the skies.
Well, I think that’s about it. HA! Do you have late night thoughts and rambles in anticipation of trips or just life in general?
In the spirit of Flash Back Friday, #FBF… I hope you enjoyed all these old photos from our last, real vacation. Can’t wait to add more to look back on, especially because we have a certain little mister to bring along on all of our adventures. Oh and also, follow along on Instagram. I’ll be sharing and using #TheALTravels! I have caved and given in to the hashtag world. Oh and also, I was lured into the world of snapchat and have to admit it is slightly addicting… So, if you want to see even more deets find me there – hanehill.
Happy Friday! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!
