Merry Christmas Eve! I can’t believe this day is already here. As a Christmas lover, I wait in high anticipation for Christmas Eve and Christmas day! While it is still just the two of us, ok four if you count the fur babes, we’re just starting to establish our own traditions for the season. Other than a Christmas Eve service, we decided this year we were going open our “Christmas Eve Boxes,” bake (ok, the baking is more for me), and watch movies! Growing up my brother and I were always allowed to unwrap one present, of my parent’s choosing of course; however, this year, I put my own twist on them making an old tradition new for us. As I’ve gotten older, finding new ways to wrap gifts has become a fun challenge. Lately, I have been inspired by using Kraft paper for gift wrap. Obviously I was initially inspired by Pinterest, but try to keep it simple and adorn each gift in a way that makes it my own.
I know that everyone has probably already wrapped their presents and they’re all nestled safely under the tree. Buuuuut, in case I’m wrong and there’s a few last minute wrappers out there, here’s some simple & easy wrapping inspiration!
What you’ll Need: Kraft paper (got mine from Staples), Twine, Ribbon, and Tags (a co-worker gave me some homemade tags, pictured below).

All I can say for sure is that our Christmas Eve boxes contain new jammies, movies, & movie snacks! I can’t disclose exactly what is inside, because well I haven’t opened mine yet and I don’t want to ruin any surprises! I’ll do a reveal on Instagram, so be sure to follow along!
ps. – you might be wondering why the first image is sans tree skirt… Well, there is sort of a makeshift skirt around the base of the tree; but, the true reason is because for some reason the dogs think it is their personal Christmas present + chew toy. Anyways, last year they destroyed our skirt in less than 24 hours so we’ve decided to boycott for now on.
