Subscription services are slowly becoming one of my favorite things. Whoever started this trend is a total genius and must be thanked! So, thank you Ms. Subscription-Service-Inventor. You are amazing… Anyways, you can find monthly subscription services for just about everything these days, even dogs! I’ve seen the BarkBox and since both Hudson and I receive monthly subscriptions, maybe it is time to start one up for Cliffy. However, I have a feeling that he probably won’t look forward to it as much as I do my Ipsy glam bags. It is like Christmas every month and I love the way they keep you updated in between bags. First they’ll show you one of the high-end products you might get and then a little while later you’ll get the email with the total contents of your bag. About a week or so after that, Ipsy sends out the tracking number and before you know it your glam bag is in the mail box! I’ve been subscribed to this service for a few months now and thought it would be fun to share my unbagging + first impressions right here with you. Plus, if you’re subscribed to Ipsy, it might be fun to see what I received since I probably got a different variety of products then you did. Ok, legooo!
First up we got the eyeshadow Matt(e) Trimony in the shade Matt Kumar by theBalm. My first impression is that it is a warm, rich shade that would be a perfect crease color to warm up any eye look. I have to be honest, though, I was pretty disappointed that I didn’t get one of the Urban Decay eyeshadows. Don’t worry, I’m going to give this Matt Kumar a fair shake and see how I like him…
Drum roll please… The next item I pulled out of my glam bag is a three tone bronzer by Crown. I actually swirled my finger around all three colors and it looks more like a highlight on my skin, which I’m not mad about. I think these colors could also be used individually too on both the face and eyes.
Next up is a Formula X nail color in the shade Wingwoman. I have to say that when I got the full list of what would be included in my glam back I was most excited about this one. I have heard great things about Formula X and who doesn’t need a new red polish for summer?
We’re nearing the end now with a clariSEA Deep Pore Detox Activated Charcoal Exfoliating Mask. Whew, thats a mouthful. This formula is something I’ve never tried before. It is in a powder form within a jar. At this point I’m not even positive how to use it; however, I love my Origins charcoal mask so I’m excited to try it.
Finally, the last product in my bag is a Cream Satin Lip Color in the shade Pinktini. My first impression is that it smells amazing + it feels very creamy on my finger and the back of my hand. I’m really excited to try it and am hopeful that it’ll become a new favorite.
Happy Friday and thank you so much for reading!! xx
