The side of our refrigerator is always so cluttered and messy, see that embarrasing image above; illustrating how impossible it is to find anything, hang anything else, enjoy pictures that are under who knows what, etc. I know I can’t be the only person out there who tries to hang a million things with about five magnets and then gets frustrated when they fall between the impossible crack between the fridge and counter. Come on people, admit it! Anyways, a while back I had purchased a pack of clothespins, which came with way more than I needed, for a project – see here. Well, long story short, I was staring at the side of the fridge going crazy and thought, I could easily clean this up with things I already had lying around the house. A DIY that is quick, easy, and doesn’t require me to leave the house to grab a few things
and end up with a cartful of stuff I either had no intention of buying or actually didn’t need, yeah I’m that girl, is my kind of project!
Items needed: clothespins, magnets, paper, super glue, hot glue gun, and scissors. On some of mine I used ribbon or stickers for sweet little embellishments.
Start by cutting your paper and magnets into strips that will fit on either side of the clothespin. I cut mine so the paper would be a little bigger than the width of the clothespin. This way you won’t be able to see the clothespin at all.
After you’ve cut your strips, apply glue and then place the strip of paper on top of the glue. I used magnets with sticky backs; so, once the paper was secure, I peeled off the protective backing and stuck the magnet on the other side.
Embellish as desired.
Repeat until you’ve reached your preferred quantity.
Much better! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! xx
