happy Friday! Friday is seriously, just the best day there ever was. Just sayin’…
After this post went live and I referenced how I had been buttoned up in business casual, it dawned on me that I’ve shared nearly every aspect of my life here except how I spend half of my days, four days a week. While you can read more about my story here, I will tell you that I work part time in an office environment where you will most likely find me dressed up in business casual. To me, business casual is such a relative term and I find myself constantly Pinteres-ting to figure out creative ways to dress myself in such a manor. I tend to be most comfortable in a pair of nice pants, a blouse, and some sort of flat. I’m just a flats girl through and through. However, now that the weather is 100°+ on the daily, I am trying to challenge myself to find skirts that fit the bill and can work both inside and outside of work. The moral of the story is, since I utilize Pinterest to look for different ideas on styling business casual, why not share my version here.
I have a few of these American Apparel pencil skirts and love that they’re 100% cotton. They’re extremely comfortable and not too restricting. It doesn’t look like they have these skirts in a wide range of colors at this time, but I’ve linked a couple similar items above. In terms of work pants, Gap and Express are my go-tos. While Gap isn’t as high of quality as Express, their pants are extremely comfortable and fit my body type well. As for blouses, I honestly feel like I can find a blouse anywhere from H&M to Express to Target. I gravitate more toward short or long sleeve blouses, often times button down. I’d love to know what you guys pull if you wear these types of outfits for work too!
I hope this helps you hone in on your business casual style! Have a great work day!
ps – Express is offering up to 30% off their dress pants right now, plus, buy one get one for $39.90. Don’t miss that deal!
